The goal of this project was to redesign and animate a new podcast intro for The Basement Yard. They guys over at Santagato Studios have been using their "Tried-and-true" intro for years, and it was about time for a bit of a refresh! I wanted it to have a modern feel while still holding onto a bit of the aesthetic from the original. I wanted to strike the professional/casual balance so that it felt like a fun introduction to a hangout with friends, but also a polished show that the boys take pride in.

I liked the energy from the original intro's explosion, but on the whole the graphics seemed a bit dated. I wanted to find a way to keep that same energy while adding to the motion with cinematography that went hand in hand with the music. I had some fun with the sound design too!
